Good Morning to you all.
As an opening to this very Big Ask, I just want to say that I am going to continue to blog until I absolutely can’t anymore. I am going to study the Bible until I don’t need to anymore, which means at that point I would be in the presence of God. I plan on posting each article of my latest series, “Verily, verily” every Monday. I have learned some very interesting things and some “Aha” things while looking into and meditating on these passages including the “Verily, verily” statements in the Book of John.
Now comes the very Big Ask. As most of you know by now, I have a blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. It is relatively rare. When I first was diagnosed, I had been on a slippery downhill slope so to speak for upwards of two and a half years. I had lost 60 pounds and 8 inches in height due to innumerable fractures of my spine, pelvis, and my right femur. I could barely walk, and that was in extreme amounts of pain as you can imagine with a bunch of fractures all over and nerve compression. And with no pain medication mind you. The “doctor” taking “care” of me dismissed almost all of my health concerns. And after some much needed direction, I was led to another health care team. That team helped me get to where I am today.
After a bone marrow transplant and regular immunotherapy (a focused form of chemotherapy), I am now able to walk without the use of a walker. I was confined to a wheelchair for a time. I am now to the point of chemotherapy every 4 weeks. However, this is very, very expensive even with Medicare. So, I am asking a Big Ask. My pride is gone. I am asking for help. I don’t usually ask for help from anyone, including people I have never met before. But today is the day that I ask.
Yes. I set up a GoFundMe. I am at my whit’s end. I have faith that it will all work out in the end. I am opening up whatever avenues to allow that to happen. So, if you can help in any way, I would greatly appreciate it. And if you can’t help monetarily, I completely understand. If you would be so kind as to pray for me and my family and for the needs that need to be met, that would absolutely go a long way. But if you can help by donating to https://gofund.me/e4717f17 that would really, really help. I would not ask if I did not need to. However, I told you up front that this is a Big Ask. Pray about it, and seek God in this matter to see how you could be of help, whether it is by donating or sharing. Or both.
Gotta go fill up my cup…..
